Benefits of Membership

We hold regular Discussion Workshops offering ideas and advice to all sectors of the industry and affording members the opportunity to ask direct questions to experts and exchange opinions and discussion with other members. Members have access to a telephone helpline providing free advice. information and guidance in respect of Tax, VAT, PAYE, Payroll. NIC, Employment, Health & Safety and Commercial Legal matters (including company law, landlord & tenant legislation, consumer protection, intellectual property issues and debt and debt recovery. The service, which is operated by Croner Consulting, gives members immediate access to a team of highly experienced, professional consultants who can provide reliable telephone advice in a practical, easy-to-follow style using everyday language. The service is available 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday. There is no charge to members for the advice and no limit to the amount of use.
All members are listed in our online membership directory. Company and Corporate members can enter their details of their facility into this powerful, searchable directory, which is openly available to all. This can generate work by connecting producers and artists with the right facility for their individual projects.
We carry out site visits to member facilities and can often offer advice to new members which can help improve and streamline business practices.
We work hand-in-hand with JAMES - the Joint Audio Media Education Service. JAMES accredits audio engineering education courses and works to maintain and works with education facilitis and government to improve standards in this vital area. This ensures that a high standard of new, bright talented individuals continues to be available to the industry.
